Are You Missing an Opportunity on Your Facebook Fan Page?Anita Kirkbride
Bit by bit and slowly but surely I am getting my own social media house in order. After adding my personalized Facebook banner picture last week, I decided it was high time to make use of the picture bar at the top of the page. I’ve seen lots of uber creative things done with the combination of banners & picture bars, but to me, this is an advertising opportunity…a chance to emphasize what it is exactly I can do for you.
Here’s what my new Facebook Fan Page looks like now. Much more useful business-wise. Now that I have my templates set up and I can easily switch out my “slides” for current workshop info, published articles, etc.
To make your photos fit here perfectly, size your image to 91 x 68 pixels. I suggest uploading them into a separate photo album on your page so you can always easily find them. Just remember that if someone else tags a photo of you or your business that new photo will pop in and replace one of your photos. To get rid of an unwanted photo in your picture bar, hover over it and click on the X that appears in the top right corner. You will be able to remove the photo from your picture bar without removing it from your profile entirely.
Have fun with all of the options for this space. I’d love to see what you create, so please share your new fan page designs with me below in the comments.
