Recorded Live on Fridays at 12:30p Eastern (1:30p Atlantic)

Anita speaks with businesses you may be following and some you haven’t heard of yet. She loves to hear stories about how others started and where they’re going. Of course, since she’s on a mission to help small businesses understand how to use social media to serve their clients and grow sales, she will also ask how they’re using social media. Real stories from people who are working through the same struggles and accomplishments can be so inspirational for other business owners.

Every Tuesday at 12:00p Eastern (1p Atlantic)

The Workplace Education Program through the Department of Advanced Education and Labour will provide funding for businesses and organizations to train staff/members in areas related to their workplace. Twirp Communications can provide social media training through this initiative.

Generally speaking, for social media training, a membership organization (Center for Women in Business, Chamber of Commerce) would request the funding from the NS Government through their process and get reimbursed for the fixed cost of hiring the facilitator (Twirp). The program would then be offered to members of the organization at no cost and the organization must provide space for the sessions.

Each training course consists of 40 hours of training over 10 weeks. Participants must commit to a screening assessment, in person, and to attending all sessions.

This funding is not available to individuals and Twirp Communications cannot organize the training for people who do not have an organization offering the training unfortunately.
