Finding Leads on Twitter: The Lover’s Edition

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s no surprise there’s lots of chatter about the holiday for lovers on Twitter. From the anti-Valentines to the super-gushy lovers, there’s room for everyone on Twitter. This month, we’re taking a different view of using the advanced search on Twitter. If you’re still looking for Valentine’s Day ideas, Halifax tweeters have lots! Here are a few tweets I found with a basic search, limited to tweets in the Halifax area.

Halifax Bloggers has a local roundup The Local Love List, which should help you find some unique ideas. They’re categorized by unique date ideas, traditional gifts of chocolate and flowers, and other gifts of local jewelry.

Sweet Jane’s is ready to help you make your night-at-home a little more special.

If you want to really, really impress your burger-loving guy, head over to Cheese Curds for the chocolate bacon burger. #OhNoTheyDidnt!!!

Still looking for an event to attend? Halifax Hospice has the Mellotones for a great night of dancing!

Or check out the aerial artists from Cirque Inverta!

Every restaurant, jewelry store, chocolatier and flower shop in Halifax is tweeting about their specials and unique gift ideas. So whatever your plans, or non-plans, for Valentine’s Day are this year, a quick search on Twitter will help you find just what you’re looking for. And if you don’t find it, try asking your followers for suggestions!
